The Butchers Club Burger Singapore Creates Recruitment Drive

Recruitment in the hospitality industry in Singapore is notoriously difficult. The government has recently further tightened up on working visas for non senior management staff, meaning employers now have to rely on local Singaporeans.

Unfortunately there are not enough of them to go around. Furthermore, the young and trendy type that The Butchers Club Burger operates its business with are very difficult to find.

As a creative measure, the team has put together a short video to highlight what it is like to work for the company, putting particular focus on the fun aspects and the ability to work internationally with the rapidly expanding brand.

Jonathan Glover, MD of The Butchers Club, states: "The video is put together in this way to attract a certain type of person. Some people may find it a bit rough and ready and may not be impressed by the behaviour, but that's the point; this is the first step in our screening process."

Unusually the Butchers Club Burger team has decided to hold a 'Hard Hat Recruitment Party' at the construction site of the restaurant, and are inviting potential candidates to come and enjoy a free beer and a burger. Details of the party can be found here.

The Butchers Club hopes to attract young individuals that want to be part of a growing team. Students and part timers are also invited to apply.
